Lyzr vs Galileo
The control plane that ships what you evaluateGalileo is one of the strongest eval and guardrail combinations in the market, closest to Lyzr’s own eval-to-protection philosophy, with runtime guardrails, root-cause analysis, and model distillation through Luna Studio. Lyzr Control Plane adds what Galileo does not have: a deploy plane. It deploys, governs, and continuously refines agents in one pipeline, framework agnostic across AWS and GCP, and can call Galileo’s own evaluators inside its eval gate.

The smarter choice for agents in production
All three planes, one pipeline
Deploy, Govern, and Refine live in a single governed pipeline. Nothing reaches production without clearing the gate.
A real deploy plane, not a guardrail layer
Galileo’s Agent Control is an open-source runtime guardrail policy layer, not a deployment pipeline. Lyzr’s git-driven CI/CD builds, scans, promotes, and rolls back the agent itself.
Cross-cloud and framework agnostic
Run the same agent across AWS and GCP with native routing and failover, on LangGraph, CrewAI, Strands, or custom, without a rebuild.
Plugs into the evaluators you trust
Lyzr’s eval gate can call Galileo’s Luna-2 evaluators, and can deploy and govern distilled models from any vendor.
Four reasons to choose Lyzr Control Plane
Alongside, or instead of, Galileo.
It ships the agent, not just evaluates it
Lyzr builds, scans, promotes, and rolls back the agent, then governs it with the same rigor. Galileo evaluates and guards agents that a separate pipeline builds and deploys.
One governed pipeline across clouds
Deploy, govern, and refine in a single pipeline, with AWS and GCP native routing and failover, running inside your own cloud.
Keep the evaluators you already trust
Galileo’s Luna-2 evaluators and Luna Studio distillation are a genuine strength. Lyzr’s eval gate can call Luna-2 as a promotion gate, and can deploy and govern distilled models from any vendor, so you gain a deploy plane without giving up your eval investment.
Sovereignty and transparent pricing
SaaS, VPC, on-prem, or air-gapped deployment, ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, SOC 2 Type II, and published per-run pricing rather than quote-only enterprise plans.
Questions you might have
How is Lyzr Control Plane different from Galileo?
Galileo is an eval-first agent reliability platform built around its Luna-2 evaluators and Agent Control, an open-source runtime guardrail layer. It evaluates and guards agents very well, but it has no deployment pipeline, so it does not build, promote, or roll back agents itself. Lyzr Control Plane spans all three planes in one governed pipeline: Deploy, Govern, and Refine.
Does Lyzr replace Galileo, or can they work together?
Both. Lyzr can stand on its own for deploy, govern, and refine, or it can call Galileo’s Luna-2 evaluators inside its eval gate as a promotion gate. You keep Galileo’s evaluation strength and gain a full deploy plane around it.
Does Galileo deploy agents?
No. Galileo’s Agent Control is a runtime guardrail policy layer, not a deployment pipeline, and there is no deployment registry or version lineage. Lyzr provides the git-driven CI/CD pipeline that builds, scans, promotes, and rolls back the agent.
Galileo has strong evaluation. Does Lyzr match it?
Galileo is category-leading on evaluation, with Luna-2 and its Insights Engine. Lyzr’s own eval suite is solid but narrower. Rather than compete on evaluator math, Lyzr’s eval gate can call Luna-2 directly, then wrap it in the deploy, identity, and rollback plane that Galileo does not provide.
What about model distillation?
Galileo offers model distillation today through Luna Studio, a real cost advantage. Lyzr’s own distillation offering, ShadowLM, is targeted for GA in Q3 2026 and is not shipped yet. In the meantime, Lyzr can deploy and govern distilled models from any vendor, including Galileo’s.
Can Lyzr run the same agent across AWS and GCP?
Yes. Lyzr offers cross-cloud deploy, routing, and automatic failover across AWS and GCP natively, inside one governed pipeline. Galileo does not offer this.
What happens when an agent fails in production?
Lyzr’s pipeline includes automatic rollback and cloud-aware cleanup, so a failed release does not become a manual fire drill. Galileo can surface the issue through monitoring and root-cause analysis, but the deploy and rollback action sits with a separate system.
What deployment options does Lyzr support?
SaaS, VPC, on-prem, and air-gapped, running in your own cloud for full data sovereignty. Galileo supports SaaS and VPC, with partial on-prem and air-gap support.
How does Lyzr handle governance and compliance?
Lyzr provides RAI guardrails, per-agent identity, RBAC, and an immutable audit trail, with governance enforced at the deployment stage. It is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified and holds SOC 2 Type II. Galileo is strong on guardrails and RBAC, with registry, identity, and audit only partial.
Who should choose Lyzr Control Plane over Galileo?
Teams that need to deploy, govern, and improve agents in one pipeline, run the same agent across AWS and GCP, roll back automatically on failure, and keep everything inside their own cloud. Teams whose primary need is best-in-class evaluation and distillation may still lead with Galileo, and can call those evaluators inside Lyzr’s pipeline later.
